Day 12 bestie is in better form than before... And chooses to stay at home so MM & Me decide to paint Banglore shades of blue...
Our first halt was to Tipu Sultan palace ... With inputs from the local guide  got to know that Tipu died young at the age of 47 yrs...
He was killed on 4 May 1799 while defending his stronghold of Seringapatam.

Bangalore Fort began in 1537 as a mud fort.[1] The builder was Kempe Gowda I, a vassal of the Vijaynagar Empire and the founder of BangaloreHyder Ali in 1761 replaced the mud fort with a stone fort and it was further improved by his son Tipu Sultan in the late 18th century. It was damaged during an Anglo-Mysore war in 1791...

Lunch at the famous Mavali Tiffin Rooms (MTR) literally there are rooms with long tables on the 1st for.where we were seated (deep inside)... There are individual tables too on the outside...
This place is walkable to the famous Lal Baug gardens...

We opted for the thali ... It costs ₹320 & comes with 21 food items.
Had lunch at 3.30pm ... So sorry couldn't wait for my thali to fill up... Was ravenously hungry...

Last stop after a scrumptiously delicious meal was a short walk to Lal Baug...

This I was informed was also used as a watch tower during Hyder Ali's rule
