Day 12 bestie is in better form than before... And chooses to stay at home so MM & Me decide to paint Banglore shades of blue...
Our first halt was to Tipu Sultan palace ... With inputs from the local guide got to know that Tipu died young at the age of 47 yrs...
He was killed on 4 May 1799 while defending his stronghold of Seringapatam.

Bangalore Fort began in 1537 as a mud fort.[1] The builder was Kempe Gowda I, a vassal of the Vijaynagar Empire and the founder of Bangalore. Hyder Ali in 1761 replaced the mud fort with a stone fort and it was further improved by his son Tipu Sultan in the late 18th century. It was damaged during an Anglo-Mysore war in 1791...

Its barely a 5 mint.walk fm.the Tipu palace...
Lunch at the famous Mavali Tiffin Rooms (MTR) literally there are rooms with long tables on the 1st for.where we were seated (deep inside)... There are individual tables too on the outside...
This place is walkable to the famous Lal Baug gardens...
There are many unusual sculptures in this part of the garden
Will be here long after I am gone...
