Bandipur...80kms from Pokhara
Started our drive at 10 am from Pokhara... the first 25 kms were good the remaining kms. had no rds.at many places...so takes close to 4 hrs . To drive... in between there was also an accident so that slowed us down a bit too...
Also be aware that petrol pumps don't fill air nor do they have toilets like in India
Once here in Bandipur had a bad catch in my leg fm.Pokhara that got worse after reaching... so walking or getting up fm.low chairs was terribly painful...
But can't spend my ltd.time in Bandipur on bed... so took a voveran and by morning... I was in pain manage mode... so we hired a car and driver to visit Nepal's biggest and S.Asia 2nd largest ...Siddha caves... it's an 8 km.drive down one way and with return fare it cost us NR 2000...
To the caves...
It's a steep climb up by stairs and at some spots no stairs...took me an hour to reach up...
Another hr.spent inside the cave with the help of a guide and an addlitional torch on rent did some rock climbing inside the caves... it was pitch dark, wet and cool...
An adventure...
Here's the photo story of my day ...
Counted 48
With a down pour the mist cleared up and could see the whole range of mountains
the entrance to the bazar... dotted by quaint old shops and restaurants... look un touched by time...
More from the next destination.
