Be careful when there as was told Cheetahs roam freely at the deserted fort...

From Bhuj when going to Mandvi its 12km one way detour towards the fort...
There are steps to go up...The view of the windmills and some villages is nice.
Avoid going there around sun sets... No one but hungry wild animals.

In the afternoon too when we were there not a single soul around.

The fort is located on the periphery of Roha village, in Nakhatrana Taluka of Kutch. It was the seat of Roha Jagir.[1] One hundred twenty Soomra Rajput princesses sought asylum with Abda (Jagirdar of Abdasa) who died in the battle with Allaudin Khilji. Consequently, all the princesses sacrificed their lives and took samadhi here, consequently, the place came to be known as Sumari Roha.

Roha Fort is situated about 50 kilometers from Bhuj. It covers almost an area of 16 acres and it is connected by main road. Its height is 500 feet from the ground level and 800 feet from the sea level.

Roha was the leading jagir of Kutch which is also known as ‘Roha Sumari Fort’. About 52 villages are under this fort. Sahebji, the brother of Rao Khengarji – I (1510–1585) set up the Roha village and died in the battle with Raysinhji Zala. Two big tanks were made by his successor Jiyaji and a fort was built by his son Thakore Noganji.

The famous poet of Gujarat, Kalapi, wrote romantic poems at Roha hill because the atmosphere of Roha was peaceful and close to nature with many peacocks and other birds which can be seen here even now.

Roha is now a major tourist attraction of Kutch

Bhuj Agiary and Jamnagar agiary

Visited Bhuj and Jamnagar Agiaries now non operational...  Due to lack of worshippers... I was told only 1 family in Bhuj is looking after the place and they stay in Ahmedabad... Bhuj agiary premise is well looked after by Mr.Abu Bakar... Whereas in Jamnagar there are 5 families and all are mostly senior citizens The Jamnagar Agiary is looked after by Mr.Sarosh Daruwalla as care taker of the premise and Mr.Wadia the trustee. Bhavnagar Agiary (now a Dadgah)

Started at 11 from Chotila to go to Hingolgadh... To our bad luck it was shut Then we decided to take the RoRo boat to Hazira...Surat It was along drive...cutting through the landscape... In between decided must visit Bhavnagar agiary (now a Dadgah) So located it on google and met the care taker who has been looking after the place for last 21 years... (Have his no.in case any Zarthosti wants to visit) The last Dasturjee passed on in year 1992/93... So now its a Dadgah and all Zarthostis can enter within... My impression of the premise was it needs to be maintained as it is crumbling... Its nearly a 130 year old structure... The Dharamshalla and Community hall adjacent to Agiary too are in a bad shape. I was informed that there are merely a dozen families or 30 to 35 parsees currently in Bhavnagar. First glimpse of the fire temple The well The care taker for past 21 years ...
