Bhuj Agiary and Jamnagar agiary

Visited Bhuj and Jamnagar Agiaries now non operational...  Due to lack of worshippers... I was told only 1 family in Bhuj is looking after the place and they stay in Ahmedabad... Bhuj agiary premise is well looked after by Mr.Abu Bakar... Whereas in Jamnagar there are 5 families and all are mostly senior citizens The Jamnagar Agiary is looked after by Mr.Sarosh Daruwalla as care taker of the premise and Mr.Wadia the trustee. It was once a major port of the region and summer retreat for Maharao (king) of the  Cutch State . The old city was enclosed in the fort wall and remains of the fort wall can still be seen. The Fortress of Mandvi was built by Raoshri Bharmalji in 1549. [ dubious   –  discuss ]  It was eight km long, 2.7 metres broad and three metres high with five gates, three windows and seven bastions ( kotha ). In 1978, Mandvi municipality was handed over the fort under condition that it will preserve the fortress.
